Invicta Dynamos battled to a 4-3 home success over Bracknell Hornets on Sunday to preserve top spot in the ENIHL Division 1 South.
Liam Chong, pictured, and Daniel Calitri gave Dynamos a 2-0 lead in the first period before the Hornets pulled one back ahead of the break on the powerplay through Tony Barclay.
Sevenminutesinto the second period Dynamos regained their two-goal cushion when Michael Timms steered home in a goalmouth scramble for his first goal since joining the club in the summer.
But Bracknell were far from beaten and they made it 3-2 when Radek Simecek fired a thunderous slap shot beyond Andrew Dickson.
And in the final period the visitors, despite playing two men short because of minor penalties, drew level through Danny Hughes.
But soon after Timms was again in the right place to fire home a rebound and give Dynamos their fifth consecutive victory ahead of next Sunday's home clash with much-fancied Chelmsford Chieftains.
