Invicta Dynamos travel to Wales on Saturday to take on Cardiff ENLDevils with the club still waiting to hear the consequences of what happened when the clubs last met.
That game at the Silver Blades Ice Rink on December 17 was abandoned five minutes before the end of the second period after a number of incidents on and off the ice saw Cardiff refuse to complete the fixture.
The trouble included an altercation between a spectator and the Devils’ David Sadler, and a mass brawl after Cardiff forward Ricky Deacon collided with Dynamos’ keeper Andy Moffat.
Then, after both teams were sent to the changing rooms while the ice was resurfaced, the Devils refused to come back out and so referee Mr Hewitt abandoned the game with Dynamos leading 3-1.
Dynamos director Jackie Mason said: "We are still waiting to hear from the League as to whether the result will stand but I don’t think it’s that difficult a decision.
"The game was abandoned because Cardiff said they didn’t agree with the referee’s decisions but we were given three major penalties and they weren’t given any so we can’t understand why they had a problem with the referee.
"We have had to give the League some statements over the incident with the spectator but the game carried on after that and everything was fine.
"The penalties that were handed out to our players for fighting have all been served.
"We are waiting to hear about the result but in the rules it says that if a game is abandoned over halfway through then the result stands so we feel we should be awarded the points.
"The fact we’ve got Cardiff this weekend means the League may have decided to defer their decision until the game has been played."
Dynamos make the short trip back across the Severn Bridge on Sunday to play the Bristol Pitbulls.
