A man was injured after fighting broke out in a town centre in the early hours of this morning.
The trouble in Blue Boar Lane, Rochester, alongside the Casino Rooms nightclub, started at 1.47am.
Police were called to the scene and later stopped a car in New Road, Chatham, where three men in their 30s were arrested on suspicion of affray. The victim was treated for a head injury.
A fourth man in his 20s was later arrested for the same offence and taken into custody.
A 52-year-old woman who lives in Rochester High Street and was woken by the noise said: "It was like World War Three out there.
"We could hear the fighting and shouting, then a helicopter flew over and it was really noisy."
She added: "Then there were lots of sirens, ambulances and police. It seemed to be coming from the car park area near the nightclub."
Stuart Tranter is the Medway ward councillor for the area.
Cllr Tranter said: "The trouble comes when people fuelled with drink spill out onto the street and then it becomes the problem of the local community.
"Sadly, experience suggests this sort of thing becomes more common at this time of year."
