Join Dorothy and Toto and follow the yellow brick road to the magical Land of Oz and defeat the Wicked Witch of the West this Easter.
Britain’s Got Talent winners, Ashleigh and Pudsey, are starring as the Kansas farm-girl and her pet dog in The Wizard of Oz at the Central Theatre.
The pair are appearing alongside Bobby Davro as Scarecrow, Art Attack presenter Lloyd Warbey as Lion and CBBC star Gabrielle Green as Glinda the Good Witch.
The pantomime, from producers Enchanted Entertainment, is coming to Medway as part of an international tour.
It follows the story of Dorothy and Toto who are picked up by a tornado and carried off to the magical Land of Oz.
With help from their new friends the Munchkins, they travel to the Emerald City where the great Wizard lives.
On their way they meet a Scarecrow who needs a brain, a Tin Man who wants a heart, and a Cowardly Lion who desperately needs courage.
Producer Jezz Weatherall said: “We’re really looking forward to returning to Medway during the Easter holidays with this brilliant show. It’s got a great cast of TV stars and an amazing live band.
“We know how popular the Christmas pantomimes are in Chatham and we’re can’t wait to bring another quality panto to the Central Theatre at the start of the school holidays.”
There will be four performances over the weekend, at 3pm and 7pm on Saturday, April 1, and at 1pm and 5pm Sunday, April 2.
Director Guy Pascall said: “It’s going to be fantastic fun for all ages, everyone remembers such great characters as the The Cowardly Lion and The Tin Man who needs a heart.
“This show will take the original book written by L. Frank Baum and give it a hilarious pantomime twist as only Enchanted Entertainment can.”
