Joseph Tullett from Chatham appears accused of four robberies

A Chatham man accused of four robberies across the Medway Towns and north Kent has been remanded in custody.

Joseph Tullett, of no fixed address, appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court this morning (Saturday) via video link.

He sat with his arms folded and spoke only to confirm his name and date of birth during the short hearing.

The charges relate to robberies in Stone Street, Gravesend; Pattens Lane, Chatham; Ordnance Street, Chatham; and City Way, Rochester.

He also faces one charge of possessing an offensive weapon and another of possessing a firearm.

The 28-year-old will next appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Friday, May 10.
