Hockey Olympic champion Sam Quek is to boost the Kent interest in the jungle this year... after being revealed as a contestant in I'm a Celebrity.

Sam was one of four members of Rochester’s Holcombe Hockey Club who played a crucial role in winning what was arguably Team GB’s most dramatic gold medal of the Rio games.

Penalty heroics from keeper Maddie Hinch, a late equaliser from Nicola White and sterling work from Sam Quek and Shona McCallin all helped win a first Olympic hockey gold for Britain’s women.

Now the Olympian is to join Kent Strictly star Ola Jordan in the battle to survive in the jungle.

The former Strictly Come Dancing star, who listed her and husband James' home on the market for £1.25m last year, joins the likes of Danny Baker and Carol Vorderman in Australia.

The 34-year-old beauty quit Strictly last year after a decade on the BBC reality show.
