Dozens of people have taken to social media to tell of their journeys from hell as snow chaos hit Kent

Many have been stranded for hours as snow brought parts of the county to a standstill, with the M2, A249, A21 and A2 among the worst areas affected. Blue Bell Hill has been closed in both directions.

Many people have desperately tweeted police warning of children and pregnant women being stranded in cars.
