One raver, who attended but wanted to remain anonymous, described it as an "amazing atmosphere".
She said: "The person who sets up the raves will send out a few hints as to where it is and people find it.
"It went on for a few hours, and I left at around 11pm.
"Everyone was having a good time and it was an amazing atmosphere."
The secret raver added there were no concerns about social distancing.
In recent weeks, police forces around the country have been warning people not to organise or attend raves.
Kent Police confirmed they were called out and there was around 40 people when they arrived.
Spokesman Vicki Foster said: "We were called at 11.21pm on Saturday to a report of anti-social behaviour in Owens Way, Gillingham.
"Officers attended and found an unauthorised gathering of around 40 people where loud music was playing. Those in attendance were reminded of social distancing guidelines before the group left the area."
Earlier today, a 36-year-old man and a 21-year-old man died in Manchester following a shooting after hundreds attended a "lockdown street party".
