A road has been blocked and trains cancelled because of a level crossing failure.

A stretch of Gillingham Road in Gillingham is off-limits to motorists while engineers work to address the issue.

The road is closed between Ingram Road and Ferndale Road.

Train operator Thameslink says there are currently no services between Gillingham and Chatham because of the problem.
