After 10 wins and a draw from their first 11 games, Lordswood suffered their first defeat but still lead the table by 55 points.

Openers Chris Thompson and Alan Pattenden (pictured) put on 59 for the first wicket but when the latter was first to go it sparked a mini collapse which saw Lordswood lose four wickets for just nine runs.

Matt Greenwood top scored with 31 and Darren Scott added 23 not out late on but they could only muster 150-6 from 50 overs.

Matt Iles accounted for both Ashford openers to leave them on 47-2 but Shannon Fattore’s 50 and 44 not out by Peter Shields ensured the visitors reached 151-1 in the 41st over.
