A lorry driver got his vehicle stuck on a grass verge trying to change lanes.

The HGV became trapped on the verge at Junction one of the M2 this morning after the driver attempted to correct a mistake he made when confused by his sat nav.

The driver was fined £30 for driving on the verge and had to pay recovery costs.

A police spokesperson said: "Drivers must never use the grass verge to change lanes. This was an expensive mistake for this driver."
