Part of the M2 was closed for several hours following a crash involving a police car.

The collision has happened on the London bound carriageway between J3 A229 (Chatham / Rochester) and J2 Medway Bridge (Strood / Rochester).

Dash cam footage from the scene shows a police car with a damaged bonnet.

Witnesses have reported three ambulances and three police cars heading to the scene.

A Kent Police spokesperson said: "We were called at 5.38pm to a collision involving four vehicles.

"Minor injuries were reported."

The road was reopened shortly after 8.30pm.
