A man hit by a train at Chatham station remains in hospital in a stable condition, police said today.
The victim, believed to be from Chatham, was airlifted with "life-changing" leg injuries after being struck yesterday.
It happened just before 3pm and there were delays between Swanley and Faversham as a result.
The station was closed for emergency services to deal with the incident and treat the 32-year-old local man for his injuries.
A British Transport Police spokesman today said he remains in hospital.

All train lines reopened just before 4pm, although Southeastern warned delays would continue into the evening rush-hour.
