A man has appeared in court accused of paying to abuse a teenage boy as well as facing other child abuse allegations.
Titoo Tahir has been charged with seven offences relating to child sex abuse in Rochester and appeared via video link at Medway Magistrates’ Court on May 11.
The 38-year-old, originally from Egypt, has been charged with paying for the sexual services of a teenage boy under the age of 18 between September 10, 2021 and September 13 the same year.
He’s also been charged with engaging in sexual activity with a boy under the age of 18 between September 11 and September 12, 2021 and inciting a teenager to engage in sexual activity between the same dates.
Tahir, who is on remand at HMP Bure, in Norwich, has also been charged with three counts of engaing in sexual activity with a child in the same place between September 11 and 12, 2021.
And he is also charged with engaging in sexual acitivty with a teenage boy on September 12, 2021, which again is alleged to have happened in Rochester.
Tahir didn’t enter any pleas in relation to the charges and was remanded in custody and the cases against him were sent to Maidstone Crown Court to be dealt with and Tahir will next appear there on June 8.
