Police cordoned off a bank today after it was broken into in the early hours of this morning.

Officers were contacted just after 2am in relation to an attempted burglary at Lloyds TSB, in High Street, Gillingham.

Police attended the scene and a 27-year-old man from Snodland has been arrested. He is currently in police custody.

It is not believed that anything was taken from the bank during the incident.
