Witnesses are being sought following an attack which left a 23-year-old man with head injuries.

Police were called to reports of a disturbance outside the City Wall Wine Bar in Rochester High Street on Saturday at 6.15pm.

A 23-year-old man had received head injuries and was being treated by paramedics. A man was arrested on suspicion of assault at the scene.

Christopher Matthew Bennett, 20, of High Street Rochester has been charged with actual bodily harm. He has been released on police bail and is due to appear at Medway Magistrates Court on May 22.
