A 20-year-old man has been arrested following a car chase in Gillingham.

Police were called to a report that a vehicle had been stolen in Rosebery Road at 12.43am this morning.

Officers located the vehicle travelling in the Chatham Hill area and shortly afterwards it came to a stop in Canterbury Street, where the occupants decamped.

The 20-year old man was then arrested in connection with the incident and he remains in custody.

Enquiries to locate the other occupants remain ongoing.
