An 18-year-old who was arrested after a teenager was touched inappropriately in the street, has been released on bail.
A man made sexual references to her before touching her inappropriately over her clothing in Parr Avenue, Gillingham, at around 7.40am on Monday, January 16.
When she resisted the man grabbed her by her throat.
Witnesses driving past the incident stopped to help, and the man ran away in the direction of Garfield Avenue.
The man is described as black, in his 20s, 5ft 10in with short dark hair.
He was said to have had blue dental braces on his teeth and was wearing a light grey hooded top and light coloured trousers.
An 18-year-old man was arrested yesterday and has been bailed until Wednesday, February 22.
Investigating officer DS Nicholas Sparkes said: "We would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the assault or believes they may have information related to the incident."
