A man has been arrested after an assault in an alleyway left another man with a back injury.

Police were called to Bill Street Road, Strood at 8.18pm last night.

The victim was taken to hospital in London with a back injury.

It has not been described as serious.

A 30-year-old man from Rochester, who is known the the victim, was arrested on suspicion of assault.

The man was released without charge pending any further information coming to light.
