A man who attacked two teenagers as they left school was stopped by teachers.
Sean Bacon pushed a girl and punched a boy on the back several times.
The 39-year-old was also caught on video attacking the 16-year-olds and calling the girl a b**** and repeatedly hitting the boy as he tried to flee.
Medway resident Bacon was later charged with two counts of assault by beating and admitted the offences when he appeared before magistrates in January.
The case was adjourned for a pre-sentencing report to be prepared on Bacon who returned to Medway Magistrates' Court on March 29 to be sentenced.
Prosecutor Chelsea Clarke said the incidents had occurred on June 8 last year on and outside the school grounds.
Ms Clarke added: "The girl was struck at the back of her hair and pulled over.
"He hit the boy multiple times and clumps him on the back of the head and puts his fists into his back. The teachers saw what happened and he was escorted from the grounds."
Mr Clarke added the youngsters had given victim impact statements saying they felt they had to look over their shoulders when they went out now.
The boy doesn't feel safe walking in the street.
Magistrates placed Bacon on a 12-month community order which will see him complete 80 hours of unpaid work.
He must also complete 15 rehabilitation sessions with probation and pay a victim surcharge of £95 and £85 costs.
