A 22-year-old has been charged after members of the public spotted a man carrying a knife.

Police were called to Magpie Hall Road after receiving reports a man was carrying something that looked like knife.

Luke Archer, 22, of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with possession of an offensive weapon on the scene following the incident at 8.47pm on Thursday.

He has been bailed to appear at Maidstone Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, March 6.
