A man has been charged with dangerous driving following an incident where a car collided with a child.

Gary Ralph of Rotary Gardens is accused of hitting the child and a brick wall on April 27.

He was charged today with drink driving and dangerous driving following the incident involving a black Lexus in Hempstead Road.

The child suffered a fractured foot and had to be taken to hospital.

Ralph, 42, has been released on bail and is due to appear at Medway Magistrates' Court on May 20.
