Kyle Peck, of Ordnance Street, Chatham, charged with possessing an imitation firearm after incident in Chatham High Street

A man has been charged with possessing an imitation firearm after a man was seen carrying a ‘gun’ in Chatham town centre.

Armed police were called to Chatham High Street on Tuesday, June 7, after reports a man had been seen carrying a firearm through the town.

A black BB gun was recovered from the scene.

Kyle Peck, of Ordnance Street, Chatham, has been charged with possessing an imitation firearm in a public place.

The 21-year-old has been bailed to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, September 14.
