Man charged after officers find 37 bags of cannabis in Maple Road, Strood

A suspected drug dealer has been charged after officers found 37 bags of cannabis inside a home.

Police obtained a warrant and searched an address in Strood on Tuesday morning where they arrested a man on suspicion of drug offences.

Officers seized four mobile phones, 37 bags of cannabis and drugs paraphernalia after searching the Maple Road home.

Tyreece Brown St Pier, 20, of Maple Road, Strood, has been charged with possession with intent to supply cannabis.

He appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court yesterday where he was remanded to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on February 15.

This is the third warrant carried out by the team since September 2022 in response to reports of drug dealing in Hoo.

As part of the ongoing work, officers have already arrested four men and one woman on suspicion of drug offences.

They have all been released under investigation while further inquiries are carried out.

To date, more than £87,000 in drugs has been recovered, including cannabis, cocaine and ecstasy tablets.

Prescription drugs including Viagra and Diazepam have also been seized along with more than £4,500 in cash.
