A man has been charged with multiple thefts after £650 of goods were stolen from a range of chain stores.
Meat, health supplies, clothing, and cleaning products were just some of the many things allegedly taken from Tesco, Holland and Barrett, Co-op and Poundland across Gillingham, Rainham, and Rochester between March 30 and June 30.
Officers carried out investigations which included surveying CCTV footage from the targeted shops and arrested a suspect yesterday (Friday).
Matthew Albert, of Cherry Orchard Drive, Gillingham has since been charged with five counts of theft.
The 32-year-old was remanded in custody to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court today (Saturday).
