A man from Cuxton has been charged as part of an investigation into alleged rogue trader activity.

Moses Mead, 31, of Sundridge Hill, has also been accused of five counts of breaching a serious crime prevention order, and another charge of fraud, relating to a report of dishonesty in order to purchase cheaper car insurance.

The rogue trader charges relate to the following:

• Between August and October 2015 aSnodlandresident reported being defrauded of £3,400.
• In December 2015 a resident inMinster, Sheppey, reported being defrauded of £24,850.
• Between November and December 2015 a resident inMinster, Sheppey, reported being defrauded of £4,250.
• Between September and October 2015 aSnodlandresident reported being defrauded of £962.50.
• Between August and September 2015, aSnodlandresident reported being defrauded of £23,400.

The ongoing investigation is being carried out by officers from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate.

Mead is due to appear at Medway Magistrates on Thursday, February 25.
