Two catapults and metal ball bearings have been seized as part of a crackdown on knife and weapon crime across Kent.
Daniel Cook, 28 of no fixed abode, is the latest person to be charged in Medway as part of Operation Sceptre - a national week of action against knife crime and other weapon offences running until Sunday.
He was stopped by officers in North Road, Strood on Monday and later charged with possessing an offensive weapon.
The weapons were seized as part of enquiries and he is due to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court on December 8.
Yesterday , officers also worked with British Transport Police in and around Chatham Train Station where they carried out ten stop and searches.
One man was dealt with by British Transport Police officers after they found a lock knife when searching his bag.
Operation Sceptre includes police forces across the country and is an extension of the work officers already do to reduce the impact of knife crime and in communities.
