A man who had to be cut free from his lorry by firefighters after a crash between another lorry and a car, was taken to hospital with serious injuries
Two crews were sent to the scene of the accident on the A228 Grain Road on the Isle of Grain at 9.50am yesterday.
They used hydraulic rescue equipment known as the jaws of life, to release the man who was handed to paramedics. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
A police spokesman said today that the man had been taken to a London hospital with serious injuries.
A second person is also reported to have been injured.
The accident happened near Maritime Transport and the road was closed in both directions and a diversion was in place for several hours after the crash.
