Police and paramedics were called to a property where a man was pronounced dead.
The emergency crews were initially sent to Canterbury Street, near Eva Road, in Gillingham town centre amid reports of concerns for the welfare of a person.
Officers attended, along with ambulance crews at about 4.30pm yesterday, with emergency vehicles said to be still at the scene hours later.
Police spokesman Nicola Forman says the death is not being treated as suspicious and a report is being prepared for the coroner.
The man's next of kin has been informed.
