People verbally abused and shouted at by a man said to have been acting strangely in a park in Medway have helped police compile e-fit images.

Officers investigating the incident in which the man threatened people at the Great Lines Heritage Park, in Gillingham, have issued two images of the man they think can help them with their inquiries.

The incident happened on Sunday, August 10, but details have only just been release by police.

The man was seen acting suspiciously and he made threats to people walking in the park.

It happened just days before a homeless man was left fighting for his life after being stabbed in the park.

The 40-year-old is still in serious in hospital after suffering multiple stab wounds to his upper body and back.

Nearly three weeks after the incident, the man, who has not been named, is still being treated in a London hospital where his condition is said to be stable.

Officers are treating the attack as an attempted murder.

He had been living rough at the park for about a month when the incident happened at about 8pm on Monday, August 18.

Two men, both 36 and from the Gillingham area, who were arrested on August 20 on suspicion of attempted murder were later released without charge.
