A third man has appeared in court accused of robbing a cash-in-transit van parked outside a bank in Medway.

G4S security guard Yubarn Gurung was delivering money to the NatWest branch in Rainham High Street at about 10.30am on September 25 when he was robbed of £25,000.

Daniel Gurley, 38, denied robbery during his plea and trial preparation hearing at Maidstone Crown Court.

His trial is expected to start in a two-week period starting May 4 and last three to four days.

Gurley, from Stoke Newington, London, was remanded in custody by Judge Philip St John-Stevens.

Last month, two other men were jailed at the same court for their parts in the raid.

Warren Young, 36, from Gillingham, Kent, and Samnit Sidhu, 24, from Grays in Essex, both admitted robbery.
