A man was found dead in a house yesterday afternoon.

Police were called at 2.56pm to a report of concern for the welfare of a man inside a property in Killick Road, Hoo.

Paramedics also attended the scene and the body of a man in his 40s was located.

His death is currently being treated as unexplained and the man’s next of kin has been informed.

Officers are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Witnesses described seeing a number of police cars, an ambulance and forensic officers at the scene.
