Police are trying to trace the driver of a small silver car after an 85-year-old man was seriously injured in a car crash in Rainham.
Emergency services were called at 11.20pm to the collision at the A2 London Road junction with Maidstone Road.
The elderly man was treated at the scene by paramedics and taken to the Medway Maritime Hospital.
He is in a serious condition with a number of fractures.
Witnesses reported seeing a small silver-coloured hatchback car which did not stop following the collision.
Enquiries to locate the vehicle are underway and officers would like to speak to the driver of the car which is likely to have sustained damage.
