A man was left "shocked" after his car window was smashed by an object thrown at it.
James Clarke was driving through Rochester on Saturday afternoon when his car window suddenly smashed, with an unknown object striking his shoulder.
The 50-year-old said:"I was driving along the Esplanade, and all of a sudden, the window cracked and I had pain in my shoulder.
"I looked around, I could see at least three kids on the castle walls. I pulled over and called the police and they arrived within half an hour.
"I was going to an important session which I had to cancel all of a sudden because of the actions of some kids who were trying to entertain themselves.
The sub-contractor from St John's Way, Rochester, said he was dismayed as the damage caused to his car would effect his ability to get to work whilst he waits for it to get repaired.
Police spokeswoman Natalie Hardy said: "Kent Police is investigating a report of criminal damage after a car window was smashed in Rochester.
"The motorist was travelling along the Esplanade at around 2.40pm on Saturday 11 May 2019 when an object is reported to have hit his window and caused the damage.
"Enquiries remain ongoing. Anyone who witnessed the incident should call 01634 792209 quoting reference 46/89531/19."
