A driver is lucky to be alive after losing control of his vehicle which ended up upside down in a ditch.
The motorist, who is thought to be in his 50s but has not been named, crashed his Mitsubishi car in Lillechurch Road, Cliffe Woods, Rochester, on Tuesday.
No other vehicles were involved in the incident which happened at about 11.30pm.
Firefighters, paramedics and police were called out to help get the injured man get out of his upside down vehicle and crews used hydraulic cutting equipment to get the man out.
Fire crews from Strood and Cliffe cut the side of the vehicle away to get the injured man out and police closed the road while the emergency services dealt with the scene.
A spokesman for Kent Fire and Rescue Service said: “The man had suffered serious multiple injuries.
“We used our hydraulic equipment to cut the side of the vehicle off and helped paramedics put him into an ambulance.
“We were on the scene for about an hour.”
