An 83-year-old man who vanished from Medway Maritime Hospital on Monday has been found.

Francisco Ceballos was reported missing from the hospital, where he was last seen just after 10am.

His disappearance sparked a police appeal for information on his whereabouts, and an image was released in the hope of finding him.

A police search and rescue team was also seen in Beechings Field yesterday and officers were also knocking on doors and visiting shops in the area.

Speaking today, a police spokesman said: "Mr Ceballos has now been found and returned to hospital care."
