A man was rescued from the water at Chatham Dockside thanks to a joint effort between the emergency services.

Police, firefighters and medics were called to the area this evening after reports someone had fallen in.

Kent Police Medway tweeted to say the man had been "safely removed" from the water.

They added: "Thankfully, he is safe and now in the care of the ambulance service."
