Murder suspect Agris Titans
Police have been given a further 36 hours to question a man after a woman's body was found at a house in Rochester.
Officers have been given until 8pm tomorrow night to interview 24-year-old Agris Titans in connection with the death of his wife Edite Titane.
A post mortem examination last night revealed she was strangled
Edite's body was found when police were called to a white terraced house in Cecil Road, Rochester, shortly before 10am on Monday.
A murder investigation was launched by the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate and senior detectives appealed for witnesses to come forward.
Edite is also a Latvian national who moved to Medway in April to be closer to her family.
The pair had been married for three years and had a three-year-old daughter, who is currently with Edite's mother.
It is understood the couple spell their surnames differently for cultural reasons.
