A pedestrian suffered serious injuries after being hit by a bus.

A man in his 50s was taken to hospital in London following the collision in Corporation Street, Rochester, near to the Casino Rooms nightclub.

Police were alerted to the incident just before 7pm yesterday.

The man's injuries are serious but not deemed to be life-threatening.

Corporation Street was sealed off by police as a result of the collision, but is open this morning.
