A man was taken to hospital after a multi-vehicle crash on the M2.

Kent Police was called just after 1.50pm to the collision on the London bound carriageway between Junctions 4 for Gillingham and 3 for Chatham.

All three lanes were closed and police, fire crews and paramedics, including the air ambulance, were called to the scene.

A manwas taken to hospital with injuries which are not thought to be life-threatening.

The road reopened just before 5pm.
