A man who crashed his car and became trapped between two walls of concrete was rescued by firefighters this morning.
The man, believed to be aged 30, was driving along the A2 near the Wainscott Bypass at 3am when his car came off the road and became wedged in the concrete cut out, making it almost invisible to passer-bys.
The man, who had crawled to the back of his car in an attempt to escape, was trapped inside the Vauxhall for 45 minutes before a road worker noticed him as he drove past.
Firefighters spent one hour trying to rescue the man whose leg had become stuck and was suffering from the cold.
He was later taken to hospital for treatment.
