The manager of Medway boxer Tom Dallas, Mark Roe, has confirmed the Lordswood Football Club boxing show will go ahead on Saturday, July 10.
Roe has confirmed the line-up for the six-fight card which includes the Walford brothers from Ramsgate – welterweight Scott and light welterweight Vinny – heavyweight Gavin Tait of Sheerness, cruiserweight Menay Edwards from Crayford, and Latvian light middleweight Janis Chernouskis, who lives at Sidcup.
Roe said: "We decided to put it back a week because Frank Maloney is putting on a show at the Brentwood Leisure Centre on June 25 and wants Tom (pictured) to fight on that. We are still waiting to hear about the details."
He added: "I’m happy about Lordswood as a venue, we are putting in 2,000 seats and hope to get a full house. It will be a charity event raising money for the Household Cavalry Operational Casualties Fund, Help the Heroes as well as the football club."
Dallas is now ranked eighth in the country which Roe says is a "fantastic rating".
He said: "Frank asked me where I wanted Tom to go and I said we would like a couple more learning fights because nobody has taken him six rounds. One opponent we are looking at is Norwegian Daniel Peret, a durable journeyman."
