Medway father and son charged in connection with £2m computer thefts

Four men, including a father and son from Medway, have been charged with theft and handling stolen goods.

The theft relates to around £2m worth of computer equipment from the West London area on September 13, and the handling charges related to a stolen van from Sittingbourne on September 10.

On September 13, officers from Kent stopped a car at Virginia Water, near Heathrow and four men were taken to Kent for questioning.

Adrian Gowers, 48, of Langdale Close, Gillingham and son Joshua Gowers, 22, of Goddings Drive, Rochester, along with Darren Tyrell 23, of High Street, Milton Regis, Sittingbourne, and Desmond Schwartz, 38, od Corton Close, Stevenage, Hertfordshire, were all charged on Friday and remanded in custody to appear at court on Saturday.

The four appeared at Medway Magistrates Court, and were remanded in custody to next appear at the same court on Friday.
