Tom Dallas returns to action next month and could be facing American Zack Page in his first eight-round contest.
The Chatham heavyweight started sparring on Tuesday in preparation for a bout at Medway Park on May 13.
Dallas (pictured) has been trading blows with fellow Brit David Price at the Body Shots gym in Crayford but manager Mark Roe is keen to see him going toe-to-toe with opponents from across the Atlantic.
Roe said: "We have to get Tom fighting the American style of boxing. Zack Page is someone who has been in with lots of top guys and doesn’t get stopped easily.
"He was recently in the ring with Tyson Fury (Britain’s No.4 heavyweight) and lost on points. If we can do better than that, we know we are going in the right direction."
Page is experienced and hard to stop with just three KO defeats in 57 fights.
Roe added: "I’ve got no problems if Tom needed to do eight rounds. What is important is that we keep learning and we keep winning."
Away from the ring, Roe is working hard at pulling in sponsorship and is close to agreeing a sizeable deal which could help move Dallas into the big time.
