Medway has become the latest to be hit by heavy snowfalls.

A thick layer covered the ground on Wednesday afternoon, with
traffic slowed down to a crawl in parts.

Cars on the Medway City Estate ground to a halt as
motorists tried to make their way home.

Some reported taking more than an hour to move a few yards and
longer to get off the estate.

Medway council confirmed Arriva had cancelled all bus services
from late in the afternoon, but no-one was available at Arriva to
confirm that.

Some schools closed and rail commuters faced misery as services
ran a limited timetable.

Heavy showers were forecast to carry on through Thursday.
