Medway get the ball moving against Horsham in the Senior Vase on Saturday
Medway coach Taff Gwilliam took some positives from his side's 36-24 Senior Vase second round defeat to Horsham on Saturday.
Gwilliam made nine changes from the side that lost in London 3 South East to the same opposition the previous week, but was delighted with the performance of his fringe players.
"I wanted to have a look at the other players and see what they could do," said Gwilliam.
"It was an exciting game with lots of open, attacking rugby. In the end, Horsham were a little bit more experienced and deserved to win.
"But we had six 18 or 19-year-olds in our team and it was a great experience for them to play."
Medway led 12-0 early on but then trailed 21-12 before coming back to lead by three points. However, Horsham had enough in the tank to run out winners.
Winger Luke Burns scored three tries for Medway with Glen Wadsworth kicking two conversions. Danny Williams, who normally plays centre, scored a try from his position as open side flanker.
