Gay sex with strangers is being touted in several high-profile sites across Medway - one in the shadow of Rochester Cathedral.

A nature reserve and public toilets in a popular shopping centre are other places 'top-rated' by a website advertising areas rated as top spots to go 'cottaging'.

It reads like a tourist brochure, using phrases like 'Medway's best-kept secret', but police and council have warned that such activity will not be tolerated.
