A talk on the changing face of the Medway Valley has been cancelled - because the guest speaker is about to become a father.
Dr Andrew Hann, who fronted a new book for the Victoria County History on the history of the area, was to have talked on Wednesday night at the Medway Archives and Local Studies Centre.
He had intended to talk about how the towns and villages that lie between Medway and Maidstone have been described and would have looked at changed to villages such as Frindsbury, Cuxton, Halling and Burham.
But on Monday evening a council spokesman said the talk had been cancelled.
"All I know is that it has been cancelled because he is about to become a father," she said.
