Two children reportedly snatched from the Strood area have been found safe and well.

Officers were called to the Liberty Park housing development in Wainscott shortly after 8am yesterday after reports the youngsters had disappeared.

Police said the children were believed to be with a relative and officers conducted searches in Medway and Gravesend with help from the National Police Air Service.

It has not been revealed how old the children were, or if they were boys or girls.

Late last night police revealed both children had been found safe and well. No further information has been released.
