The search for a missing man from Chatham has been called off after he was found safe.

Kent Police appealed for information earlier today after 37-year-old Gavin Maloney was last seen at 2am this morning (Monday) at his home address in Conifer Drive.

Officers have been carrying out extensive searches in and around Chatham.

The police were asking members of the public not to approach Mr Maloney if they saw him but to call 999.

A spokesman for the force said he has now been found safe and well.
